If you are having trouble making your student loan payments you might qualify for a deferment, forbearance, or another form of payment relief. Visit our Postpone Payments section to get more information and to download these forms.

What happens after I have submitted my form?
Your application will be submitted for processing. You will be notified in writing by mail whether or not your deferment or forbearance has been approved or denied. Your original payment schedule will remain in effect until your application has been processed and approved.
